About Maya

Maya Knight graduated and has been treating as an advanced Emmett practitioner since May 2018.

She is very passionate about what she does and loves the satisfaction of a client leaving the room feeling happy with the pain relief they are now benefiting from. Maya holds a safe and comfortable space during her treatments and is very excepting of each individuals needs, beliefs, morals and well-being.

Maya believes in working on the ‘whole’ being, not just the physical condition. When a pattern is playing out in the body, it is also playing out emotionally and mentally. Psychosomatically your mental state creates your physical state. If you are experiencing a recurring pain in the body, it is more likely than not related to an emotional response system due to thoughts you are believing to be true.

“I am happy to just treat the physical aspect, if this is what my client prefers. I am also happy to talk through with my client and help find what the underlying cause of their recurring pain may be.”

What Maya's Clients Say

"When I first came for an Emmett session with Maya, I was immediately welcomed into a space that was calm, considered and where I felt instantly comfortable. In the sessions that followed I was guided to go deep within a modality that re-centres, energises and yet is non-invasive. Maya's knack for gently unlocking potential has helped me to see the incredible benefit of Emmett Therapy and to appreciate the care, intention and informed consideration that orients her practice. I highly recommend Maya's practice and the Emmett Therapy journey."

"I am someone who suffers with the condition fibromyalgia. Being a trained complementary therapist myself, I have had the opportunity to come across many styles of holistic healing. Having had a number of different styles of treatment offering various levels of positive outcomes, I found Maya's treatment of Emmett Therapy the most effective for me. I received huge pain relief as well as greater movement of my body and less restriction. I feel Maya is gifted in her delivery of Emmett Therapy and has found her calling."

Maya's Emmett Journey

I first came across the Emmett Technique when my horse, Charlotte, slipped and fell while enjoying a run on a rainy day. Fortunately, she suffered no serious injuries, however she was left feeling quite sore and tight all over. I was recommended Emmett Therapy, and so I thought I would give it a go. I was absolutely amazed at what I saw during her treatment. Her whole body shifted, realigned and balanced right before my eyes… she was a completely different horse physically and emotionally in such a positive way.

It wasn’t long after this that I began my studies in this amazing modality for humans. I am now enjoying working as an Emmett practitioner experiencing amazing results, like Charlotte’s, with my own clients. I have started my training in Emmett for horses and look forward to finishing this over the next year.
